The severe winter storm in the US has now caused power outages for more than a million customers. Households in southern states such as Tennessee, Texas, and Louisiana were affected, as well as those on the East Coast. There have also been fatalities due to the winter storm. Two men died of hypothermia in the state of Louisiana. Thousands of flights have been canceled in the US due to the winter storm.
