first of all : the "wait" part had nothing to do either with what I wrote nor with your cartoon. I had the impression that you didn't really answer my question in your first answer.
Now to your longer answer (thanks for that). I think it takes a great degree of simplification to see poverty anywhere in the world as a result of US policy.
This doesn't take local factors into account and rather furthers a kind of general "global conspiracy" thinking which I think is not helpful. The Maghreb isn't the Middle East, it's a region with it's own difficult history. I can't see how the Middle East peace process should figure prominently into the current conflicts.
Feel free to criticize the US or Israel - that's one of the good things about freedom of speech. But you will have to cope with people like me, who think that some of your criticism is a generalization that neglects the actual political processes of a region in favor of a simplifying dichotomy. And who tell you so.
So to the title of this cartoon: I think none of them is right. Both cartoons pose a bizarre analysis of the situation that sets up connections not really there.(or at least not as important and not as simple).

you said “wait”...
i agree this idea...
yes, let we wait…
as i said “the time is the best answer”…
It seems as if the beginning reasons of the events in Tunusia and Egypt are “poverty”,
it’s ok.
well then why are people in these countries so poor?
and so why are all of middle eastern countries’ people so poor?
and why do USA deploy in this region where live poor people?
and why are this “middle east project” based on long years?
- petrol?
- establishing counterforce against Russia?
- arms trade?
none of these…
is helping poor community, solidarity and sharing?
what about sharing?
also why ever to defend USA?
why are passed over all caricatures criticizing
USA and Israel in toonpool?
i!m sure that the artists don’t do this…
an I’m very disturbed for a long time…
