dear prinz, it seems that you are expert all kind of ''cartoon'' concepts. you make categorizations as if they are predefined.

not every cartoon has text and not every cartoon with text is most funny and good cartoon -they are of course as rule, easy understandable,- but all ''popular'' cartoons are not defined as art. but some of them which are daily seen and thrown a way can be most readable. For this we have good examples too.

anyway, I have a lot of confusing understandings the ''cartoon'' as concepts and I was surprised how you define the cartoon in categories easily.

Quim creates different cartoons, may be he is a black sheep in the family of cartoons as you recall ''real'' cartoons, but it does not meAn they are ''surreal'' cartoons as you intend to put a place like a different gallery.

for me his works are most funny and deeply influenced cartoons, which makes me stand a little longer front of them. I learn while I consume these kind of work a lot.

Don't understand me wrong, I love many just funny ''real'' cartoons too. I guess again there is no black and white in humor/cartoon. In the cartoon art important think is not always how you tell things, but what and in which perspective you tell. When you see a cartoon, something,like f. ex. a very sharp knife makew your senses up. This something pushes you, wakes you up, force you to dream, to smile, to angry, makes you feel stupid etc., can be funny in real time or 'real cartoon'' or ''surrealist'' or any other ways.

Cartoon is something like taste we have. You eat food and you like it or not.

Cartoon as a art form need to be more than to show some ''real'' funniness for ''non-alphabets (that is the people who cannot read)'' that way they can easy understand.

We have a lot of materials in our garbages, throw a lot of food which we in West usually by just we buy more than we consume and actually food you considerable buy, could be a reason you make dishes which is called ''gourmet.''

Cartoon art is like this. Many common foods, daily consuming materials and gourmet foods which give both energy and aesthetic
