Humbolt squid come through the So Cal waters two or three times a year, they bite or grab onto any bait or lure and give the angler a hell of a pull. The last time we got into them they were in the fourty pound class and the catch was as many as you want, non stop. Very messy, ink all over the deck, took a full day to clean up. Calamari for the whole town! Best

Apart from this... can you catch these Californian supersquids or do they just squiddle around in the ocean (or whatever it is squids do)?
